Dear all,

for the 5th time we plan to set up again a mini-festival here in Augsburg !

open for submissions !

– line-up will consist of 10 artists
– there will be 5 collaboration-sets
– we will connect 2 artists for each set that haven’t played together so far
– so this will be their first ever encounter and a unique happening
– their aim is to work out a collaboration set for the festival in advance
– this has to be a new composition

– please include a short bio, artist picture and sound/video links and expected travel costs
– please tell us the instruments you play
– please tell us if you use visuals
– please also state if you are a member of GEMA or any other royalty collecting organization
ATTENTION ! submissions with any missing information won’t be accepted

all experimental musical styles are welcome
exception: no harsh noise / we concentrate on more quiet music

DEADLINE: February 1st

conditions:
– we will cover travel costs
– a surplus will be shared among all artists
– free food and drinks will be provided during the whole stay
– you are fine with private accommodation
– local artists: you host your (inter)national partner for up to 3 nights
– you provide an exclusive track (~ 5 min) for an online compilation until April 1st
– you compose a collaboration track (~ 13 min) with your partner for a ltd. CD compilation until May 1st
– you are a solo artist

concept:
this is a diy festival with the aim of connecting local artists and audience to the (inter)national experimental scene. Beside the unique musical experience we want to focus on a cultural exchange

Die LP „fiction circuit“ entstand als internationale Kooperation von EMERGE und Gerald Fiebig mit ihren Kollegen Artificial Memory Trace (Slavek Kwi) aus Irland und PBK (Phillip B. Klingler) aus den USA. Das ruhige, harmonische Ambient-Album bezieht Elemente unterschiedlicher experimenteller Stile wie Drone und Noise mit ein. Erhältlich ist es in Augsburg bei TONTRÄGER in der Wintergasse sowie direkt beim Label unter www.attenuationcircuit.de.

Deshalb laden EMERGE, Fiebig und ihr Label attenuation circuit musikalische Live-Gäste diverser Genres zur Feier ihrer Veröffentlichung ein.

EMERGE und Gerald Fiebig spielen ein gemeinsames Konzert, bei dem sie u.a. das Klangmaterial der LP zu einer neuen Spontankomposition zusammensetzen. Dabei setzen sie auch Samples ihrer irischen und US-amerikanischen Ko-Komponisten ein, sodass diese virtuell ebenfalls bei der Release-Party der gemeinsamen LP anwesend sind.

DONATELLA BARTOLOMEI – „Sfingi e Sirene“

Donatella Bartolomei aus Mailand fasziniert mit ihrer hochvirtuosen „Gothic Opera“-Gesangsperformance. Arien- und Blues-Fragmente lässt die ausgebildete Opern- und Jazzsängerin ebenso einfließen wie experimentellen Sprechgesang. Aufgrund ihres Albums auf dem Augsburger Label atemwerft und ihrem Gastspiel beim letztjährigen „re:flexions sound-art festival“ im Kulturhaus abraxas ist sie in Augsburg keine ganz unbekannte Größe mehr.

Die Post-Metal-Band „kha.wis“ aus Köln schafft mit Keyboards, drei Gitarren und mehreren Stimmen einen enormen Spannungsbogen von melancholischen Klavier-Parts bis zu flirrenden Walls of Sound aus psychedelischen Gitarren. Hochatmosphärische Musik, die nicht nur Metal-Fans in ihren Bann zieht.

TONTO

„Tonto“ ist das Soloprojekt von Francesco Zedde aus Bologna. In seinen hochenergetischen Performances kombiniert er verstärktes Schlagzeug und Stimme mit den Rückkopplungen des Konzertorts. Somit wird bei jedem Konzert buchstäblich die Architektur des Raumes bespielt.
