LUCAS ALVARADO

Lucas Alvarado is composer/producer/sound artist & viola da gamba player. He is currently working on superconscious sound researchers experimentation, free improvisation & eclectic DJ sets under Huemul.
Specialised in ancient bowed instruments, playing viola da gamba, vihuela de arco & violone in early music ensembles.
As a composer, putting elements from modal and traditional music,
electronic, sound art and sounds from the nature while combining a sound range that goes from electroacoustic and soundscape to instrumental music he develops different projects as a solo and with several musicians from different styles. Lucas has been deeply inspired by the unseen world and the cosmos, using these influences as the foundation of his creative process. With the use of these elements, he creates his own musical language and
producing a sound work outcome characterised as peaceful yet mysterious and thrilling.
Since 2013 he is member and co-founder of the Eunk collective, which produces and promotes experimental music in Chile and abroad.
Dyrgaist is his most enigmatic and darkest project, fusing mystical symbols, astral experiences and oneiric landscapes in sounds who can act as a portals to other worlds.
Nowadays Lucas is performing through Europe a repertoire on the viola da gamba who starts from the medieval music until contemporary compositions and south american traditional songs; in parallel with hi soundscapes and post-music projects such as “Lo Inconcluso Invisible”, “Anatomía de la Vacuidad” and “Svabhabat”.
Innassaah is an experimental duo with the italian singer Carla Genchi, who mixes electronics and voice, inspired on dark and occultist literature.
In 2017 they have released their first EP. They’ve performed in France, Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany.
Lucas is currently studying Master’s Degree in viola da gamba at the
CNSMD Lyon.

INUTILE TÉMOIN

Inutile Témoin- is Teresa Riemann and Amélie Legrand on cello, drums, electronics and voices. During their performances they combine French, German and English poetry with free improvisation and written pieces to produce an energetic and abstract sound which delivers a deep and direct energy.
Their performances embark on a mystical journey, traveling from the stomach to the little voices in your head, reminiscent of a volcano on the brink of eruption.
Both musicians have punk influences as well as using Arabic scales and free improvisation. The voices exist simultaneously in different dimensions, ranging from singing to all out screaming.

Dilettantische Bauern – Vernissage von Studio Ko-Op

Noch vor den politischen Revolutionen rund um das Jahr 1918 hatte die Kunst das Paradigma der Revolution für sich entdeckt. Im künstlerischen Bereich erwies sich der kreative Umsturz als äußerst fruchtbares und zumeist unblutiges Modell. Dieser „Urknall“ der Avantgarde wirkt noch 100 Jahre später in zeitgenössischer Kunst fort – insbesondere in der Klangkunst. Noch für die heutige akustische Kunst sind die Geräuschmusik-Ideen der frühen Futuristen und die von Futurismus und Dada initiierte Lautpoesie wichtige Impulse. Für „loop30 – Der Hör-Raum im Kulturhaus abraxas“, Süddeutschlands einzige Klangkunst-Galerie, ist das ein Grund zu feiern.

Aus diesem Anlass zeigt „loop30“ eine nicht nur akustische Ausstellung des Hamburger Künstlerduos Studio KO-OP (Paolo Moretto und Peter Kastner alias PAAK). Sie findet parallel in der Hörgalerie im Großen Foyer und im Ballettsaal des abraxas statt. Mit dem Langzeitprojekt „Dilettantische Bauern“ grenzt sich STUDIO KO-OP ab von „den Dilettanten des globalen und gleichzeitig nationalen Kapitalismus“, die derzeit die Welt so unsicher machen wie schon lange nicht mehr. Studio KO-OP macht da nicht mit. Stattdessen erinnert das Duo daran, dass es auch anders ginge, indem es runde Geburtstage feiert, gerne auch knapp daneben. So ist „Dilettantische Bauern“ mit seinen Stil-Zitaten aus Dadaismus und früher Sowjetkunst auch eine Hommage an die Oktoberrevolution 1917, an die Erstausgabe von „Das Kapital“ 1867, an die Novemberrevolution 1918, den Geburtstag von Karl Marx 1818, die Räterepublik München 1919 – aber eben auch an die 1. DADA-Messe 1920. Der respektlose Humor, der sowohl ihre bildnerischen Arbeiten wie ihre Auftritte prägt, hat dem Dadaismus viel zu verdanken – ganz ohne sich in historischen Zitaten zu erschöpfen. Anlässlich der Vernissage führt loop30-Kurator Gerald Fiebig in das Projekt ein, STUDIO KO-OP zeigen eine Live-Performance. Im Februar wird unter dem Titel „Revolution und Experiment – 100 Jahre Avantgarde in Kunst und Politik“ ein Rahmenprogramm zur Ausstellung stattfinden, das Lesungen, Lecture Performances und Konzerte verbindet.
